Alden Mills is an entrepreneur whose most recent startup was recognized by Inc. magazine as the fastest-growing company in America. But that’s just one of his achievements. He holds over 40 patents, and he’s sold over 10 million units of his inventions. (In fact if you work out at a gym, odds are that you used one of his products.) Alden was a platoon commander in the Navy SEALS–3 times. He is also an author of the highly-regarded leadership book, Be Unstoppable, with another book coming out next year. Today, Alden works with organizations around the world to help them develop their very best leaders and teams.
Bernardo runs a growing not-for-profit by the name of “Foro USA Spain” focused on fostering the globalization of Spain through education and greater connectivity among and between globally-minded young professionals and active young students.
Bernardo believes that, on one hand, the international exposure and the global education of Spanish youth and, on the other hand, the empowering of globally-minded young professionals (within their individual professional ecosystems) are the two most important ways to help Spain embrace the benefits of open societies.
Carlos is a technology-driven, passionate, and enthusiastic engineer. He has a strong research and scientific background, with a business-oriented mindset. Carlos enjoys finding creative and innovative solutions to complex problems. More importantly, he loves focusing on the search for feasible approaches of bringing these ideas into reality. Currently finishing a Ph.D. at the Institute of Photonic Sciences of Barcelona, Carlos works in the field of quantum physics. He authored and coauthored several scientific articles for journals and conferences.
Eghosa had achieved about 15 years in the Energy Industry and is the founder of nonprofit AWE in Energy – Africa Women Executives in Energy. She is also a Director for Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE:BHI), with prior 9 yrs+ experience in Schlumberger (NYSE:SLB). Eghosa is responsible for the Completions and Wellbore Intervention Business for Baker Hughes Africa. She previously led a $1Bn+ business across 54 countries with 1200 employees across Europe, Africa and Russia Caspian. Her expertise is in Business Development and Commercial Strategy in the Energy Industry, Operational and Financial Leadership, Business Management, Contract Management, Engineering and Technology, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
Eghosa started her career with a background in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelors & Masters) from University College London, UK. She completed her Project Management Professional Certiﬁcation (PMP), in Houston, Texas, USA. Eghosa holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School where she graduated as Class President.
Fernanda is Brazilian with a fervent love of nature. Through her love of mountain and looking for a challenge she has travelled widely and now lives in the mountains of the Spanish Pyrenees. As a child she was asked what her ‘dream’ would be – to live in a big house on the beach, or to travel the world. Her dream was to travel. But she realised early that to travel you have to find a way to fund your explorations and without parental help she knew that she would have to be a good person, and a good athlete – and in that way to hope to find support. In her professional life, Fernanda practised as an environmental lawyer and has also been greatly involved in outdoor education through the international ONG Outward Bound. She is also sport nutritionist and business woman that loves to encourage people to have a health life. In this way her love of high mountains and to help people are not limited only to her experiences through her sport, but also to reaching out to others in working and teaching to conserve and respect natural environment and have life quality.
Itziar de Ros (IESE MBA ’06) joined IESE in 2007 after working as a marketing and sales consultant at DuPont (Geneva, Switzerland). She’s held different positions in IESE, starting in MBA Admissions and then moving to the Alumni Association. In 2010 she was promoted to Institutional Development Director, her main areas of responsibilities were to design and execute activities that promote wider, better recognition of IESE in key geographical areas and markets.
Ms. de Ros is currently the MBA Admissions Director and President of the MBA Admissions Committee. She is now responsible for global marketing, student selection and administration of scholarships for the IESE MBA comprising of 350 students and leading a team of 20 professionals from 12 different nationalities. .
She is very fond of skiing, snowboarding and playing paddle when she is not travelling. Very recently she started running and is getting more into it.
Jean Paul is a current full-time MBA student at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Previously, Jean Paul spent two years in research and analytics at Merrill Lynch while studying the European debt crisis funded by various fellowships and grants. At Southern Methodist University, he studied Economics with a specialization in Financial Applications, Markets and Culture, and French, graduating with Liberal Arts Honors as a Hunt Scholar. Jean Paul complemented his academic program at SMU through additional studies at Oxford University, the Sorbonne, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and the Juilliard School.
While in High School, Jean Paul started and ran a charity project in which he arranged, recorded, and produced two CDs of his own music to raise funds to support children in Guatemala suffering from cancer and unable to finance their treatments. His CDs have helped support Ayudame a Vivir (Help me to Live), a non-profit foundation in Guatemala.
Lekshmy is a founding partner at fuelfor (www.fuelfor.net), an experience design consultancy specialised in health and care and co-located in Barcelona and Singapore. fuelfor develop award-winning products, services and strategies using a design thinking approach that they have specifically tailored for health and care innovation challenges. She is passionate about improving care; encouraging people to challenge conventional thinking, bringing the voices of patients, their families and care providers into the design process in inspiring ways and applying design thinking as a strategic tool to unlock creative solutions.Lekshmy holds a Master of Engineering degree from Cambridge University in England, and a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art in London.
Massimo Maoret is an Assistant Professor in the Strategic Management Department at IESE Business School, and a Marie Curie Fellow of the European Commission. He has received a Ph.D. in Management from Boston College in 2013. Massimo’s research focuses on how social networks influence performance both at the individual and organizational level. He investigated the impact of social networks on the performance of various small and large firms, but also on no-profit organizations from different institutional sectors (e.g. basketball teams and the military). At IESE Business School, Prof. Maoret teaches in a wide array of programs, including Competitive Strategy, Strategy Execution and Organizational Change in the fulltime MBA, Organizational Theory in the Ph.D. curriculum, and also various modules on managing your network and getting things done at the Executive level.

Also a poet, cinema enthusiast (director, writer), actor, (still active) soccer goalkeeper, avid reader, proud father, and really lousy chess player.
Ricardo is Prodigy Finance’s Head of Business Development, working between Madrid, London and New York. He was born in Madrid, but spent most of his life living abroad. After getting his MBA from INSEAD he worked in management consulting for 8 years with Accenture, BCG and KPMG. He then shifted his focus to consult for startup companies in the fintech space, and joined the Prodigy Finance team in 2014.
